Talented Local Artists Come Together to Make Mix Tape

Cleveland's talent grows by the day. Every day we see a new entrepreneur starting their path to success. Many of these artists, business owners, and passionate amateurs make a successful career from building on their talents. Alonzo Knight is one of the many Clevelanders that proudly represents his city, his culture, and the best of our communities. Knight is a 23-year-old entrepreneur who has a passion for music, design and helping others. With that passion, Knight founded Cleveland's Finest Entertainment, a small community business dedicated to helping small creators, artists, and passionate citizens bring their music, videos, and clothing brands to life.

Since the early 2020's, Cleveland Finest's Entertainment has been working on one of their biggest projects yet. This project involves over fifteen local musicians, singers, and producers with several other local music groups involved, as well. The unity between these groups has attracted so much attention that popular influencers like TikToker @StaleKraker are talking about the album. YouTube influencer and singer SamBeYourself shared his excitement for the album on Instagram by congratulating all the artists and Alonzo Knight for putting the album together.

Heart of the City will contain more than five tracks including singles, duos, and collaborations of many talented artists. “a real 216 GOAT be your own boss” Paul, a Cleveland's Finest Entertainment follower said.

The M.O.B branded shirts have made Cleveland’s Finest 216 group well-known around Cleveland and its surrounding areas. Now the M.O.B brand won’t only be on shirts, but it is the most anticipated song in the

album yet. “M.O.B (outro) is one of the most anticipated songs on the album based on the feedback from previews. It’s because it consists of six different artists Dblack, Dayday, 2morrow, Double00, Toon, and Lil Rome” said Alonzo Knight (album producer).

Mr. Knight’s plan is to unite the Cleveland community of local artists to show them that unity is the best way to become someone known in the music world. “What I hope to accomplish with this album is for Cleveland to get respect in the

music scene. We have a lot of talented artists in the land, but we rarely get to hear any artists from Cleveland on the local radio stations and I hope some of these artists get doors open for them that were not there before because of this album."

After speaking with some of the artists and producers we put together some questions and the best answers about the album for everyone to read.

​How are the songs selected?

We will vote on the best tracks to make up the Heart of the City album. Although not every track being submitted will make it to the final product. It has been great to see the unity in Cleveland and see tons of talented artists coming together all for the love of their city.

​When will it be released?

The album will be released this coming December 18th on all music platforms.

How did the idea of a local “mixtape” album come together?

After seeing so many talented artists in Cleveland not getting the views and support, they deserved, I (Knight) produced the idea of

uniting all the best hardworking artists I knew in Cleveland to come together to make an album to highlight their best talent.

Is this a recurring idea or a once-in-a-lifetime deal?

This is something we plan to do once a year. Our plan is to help and show the power in unity that the Cleveland community deserves. We are also trying to convince other artists that working together is the way to achieve success.
